Day 65 - NZ north island : onward towards Napier

Step two of the 168-odd miles (or 270km - give or take the odd inevitable detour) from Wellington to Napier.

We're planning on using the State Highway (aka motorway I suppose) most of the way northwards; so far it's been single lane almost all of the way, flat and quite winding, with a super landscape (and yes, lots of sheep).  Stop press update - we've found some 2-lane Highway...3 km of it on SH1 into ChCh!

taking us through towns with some unexpected names and history, like Dannevirke and Norsewood; Swedish, Danish and Norwegian settlers landed at Napier in 1870 (looks like they've made themselves at home!)
